In 2013 Prof. Dr. Tim Drygala and Gerhard founded the Leipzig M&A Conferences. Gerhard largely thematically prepared five conferences, of which the last fell twice victim to the corona pandemic and only took place after Gerhard had left as co-organizer in 2022. He continues to support future conferences, which are already being planned. The first four conferences took place in the former German Reichsgericht (today’s Bundesverwaltungsgericht), the fifth in the „Salles de Pologne“
